With your support, we can continue to achieve our goal of ensuring advanced, specialized medical care for East Hawaii residents and visitors. Time is very critical in a medical emergency, where moments can mean the difference between life and death for a patient. A victim of stroke, heart attack, or other trauma must receive immediate attention. This is just one of the many reasons why our hospital facilities are so important to everyone. The HMC Foundation has made significant contributions towards the betterment of our healthcare services. Thanks to your overwhelming support for our Million/Million Campaign, Hawaii’s first State Veterans Home will be opening its doors in Fall 2007 and the Emergency Department renovation/expansion will begin construction in January 2007. Much has been done, but so much more is needed. As we continue forward with our mission, we have embarked on an initiative to gain community and legislative support for enhanced Cardiovascular and Long-term Care services.
