Leahi Hospital has been providing quality care since 1901. The goal of Leahi Hospital is to provide quality individual care and services. Leahi Hospital is one of three facilities under Oahu Region within Hawaii Health Systems Corporation, the other two facilities are Maluhia and Kahuku Medical Center which is now a subsidiary of HHSC. Hawaii Health Systems Corporation is made up of thirteen medical facilities within the State of Hawaii and together, these facilities provide a safety net of medical care for the people of Hawaii.
Leahi Hospital has 190 beds: 179 nursing home beds, dually certified as Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)* and Intermediate Care Facility (ICF)**, 9 Acute/Tuberculosis beds. Individuals requiring long term care or short term restorative care are admitted to our nursing facility beds. Treatment and general care are provided by your physician and an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. Individuals with or suspected of having Tuberculosis are admitted to our Tuberculosis unit.
Leahi Adult Day Health Center (LADHC) is a program designed to provide a variety of health, therapeutic, and social services to individuals who are ICF level of care and needs help with care during the day hours. The primary objectives of the program are: 1) to restore or maintain the optimal capacity for self care, and 2) to foster or support family and community relationships. The Center stresses partnerships with the client, the family, and the physician in the effort to maintain the individual in the community. Bathing services for Adult Day Health participants are available for an additional fee.
*Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) level of care: a medical level of care that requires 24 hour skilled care such as physical or occupational therapy, nursing monitoring, etc.
**Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) level of care: a medical level of care that requires intermittent nursing care. It is also known as custodial care.

Nursing - Five different nursing units and also includes nursing administration, supervisors, and resident assessment instrument coordinators
Social Services: social workers
Rehabilitation: Includes Physical, occupational and speech therapists
Recreation Therapy: coordinates activities and volunteers
Dietary: food preparation, special diets, includes dietitians
Other departments include: Admissions, Business Office, Central Supply, Education, Employee Health, Groundskeeping, Health Information Management, Housekeeping, Human Resources, Information Technology, Laundry, Maintenance, Office Services, Pharmacy, Purchasing, Quality, and X-Ray.
